Janne Miikkulainen

With a background in entertainment and a passion for board sports, Janne has spent over two decades shaping unique leisure experiences around the world. He began his career in Thailand in 2000, founding Raya Divers—a small scuba company that grew into one of the region’s largest holiday entertainment providers.  

After discovering FlowRider in Singapore, Janne was inspired to bring the surf experience to new markets. He launched two Surf House venues in Thailand before taking the concept to his native Finland, where he created an award-winning indoor surf destination in Helsinki—complete with a FlowRider, real palm trees, and imported beach sand.  

Beyond his own venues, Janne has played a key role in FlowRider projects across Asia, contributing to design, operations, and sales negotiations. Now, he’s bringing that expertise to expand FlowRider’s presence in Europe.
